You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term.
Massage should not be a standard "routine." Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. Your massage will be customed for YOU. Whether it be a full body massage or a specific area that gives you trouble, we will work together to find what works best for you.
Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, pain or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I am sensitive to those who prefer a lighter touch as well as those who prefer deep tissue. The goal is to help you feel better and I will work with your comfort level to meet those expectations.
Swedish Massage helps to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body. This massage is ideal for people who prefer lighter pressure.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
This type of massage is ideal for people who prefer deeper pressure.
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. This massage is ideal after your first trimester and up until your due date.
A Trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may produce referral pain in the neck. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.
I was born in Pensacola, Fl but was raised in Ky for 24 years. I moved back to Pensacola in 2005 and found my calling with Massage Therapy. I have been practicing now for 11 years. I started my career in a Spa setting and eventually ended up in a Chiropractic establishment at Jacobs Chiropractic and Wellness for 9 years. It is within the Chiropractic position that I learned the most about common injuries from our daily lives as well as more severe injuries from sports and auto accidents. I feel that both positions have provided me with a well rounded adaptability for different people with different needs.
Having trained in a variety of modalities, I can help customize your massage to fit your needs. The most common problems I treat regularly are neck, shoulder and back pain, hip and glute pain, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, sciatica and rotator cuff injuries to name a few. If any of these problems sound familiar to you or to someone you know, call to make an appointment! Click the Button below to see the Services offered.
